Belgium increased its participation in the MRTT- Fleet by ordering through the NATO NSPA agency one additional A330-200 MRTT. This follows Belgium's decision to increase its number of hours in the programme to 2,100. Currently 36 @BeAirForce personnel are based in Eindhoven (NL).

An F-16 aircraft of the Belgian Air Force has made a precautionary landing at Ostend airport following a lightning strike. The aircraft landed safely. The situation is under control by civilian and military airfield fire crews.
